Dress Code & Dance Shoes

At Dance Without Limits, we believe that wearing studio uniforms give students a sense of belonging to our family, as well as creating an identity for our studio in the greater community. Learn more below.

Our uniforms:

Help identify non-students in the studio
Diminish economic and social barriers between students
Increase a sense of belonging and school pride

Dress code items can be purchased year-round from our dancewear store. Mark all common items, such as shoes, leotards, and tights, with full names. Putting clothing and shoes into a dance bag will greatly decrease the loss of items through mix-ups or theft. Dance Without Limits is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced articles.

Teen Acro

Royal blue leotard, dark tan stirrup tights, bare feet, hair up and pulled away from face (black booty shorts are optional)

Teen Tap

Royal blue leotard, dark tan tights, tan tap shoes (any style), hair up and pulled away from face (black booty shorts are optional)

Boys

Solid black t-shirt and solid black gym shorts or pants for ALL classes. Black tap shoes, black jazz shoes, and/or black ballet shoes (dependent on style of dance).

Limitless Friends

Any clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in (NO JEANS), tennis shoes.

No oversize t-shirts, baggy shorts or pants, jeans, or other distracting clothing is allowed, as extra clothing impedes movement and hinders placement correction. Hair must be secured off of face for all classes, and a bun is required for all ballet classes. Short hair should be clipped back with barrettes. No jewelry, except small earrings, may be worn to class.

Dance Shoes

Dance Shoes requirements are as follows:

Students must also wear appropriate dance shoes in every class. The following shoes are required:

Twinkle Baby and Me: pink leather ballet slippers and tan tap shoes
Twinkle Babies (2-3): pink leather ballet slippers and tan tap shoes
Twinkle Stars (K3): pink leather ballet slippers and tan tap shoes
Twinkle Stars (K4): pink leather ballet slippers and tan tap shoes
KinderStars Tap/Ballet: pink leather ballet slippers and tan tap shoes
KinderStars Jazz/L:yrical: pink leather ballet slippers and tan tap shoes
KinderStars Ballet: pink leather ballet slippers
Tot Hop & Tumble and KinderStars Acro/Hip Hop: barefoot
Ballet: pink leather or canvas ballet slippers. For pointe classes, pink pointe shoes are required.
Acro: barefoot
Jazz: tan jazz shoes (any style)
Lyrical: tan jazz shoes (any style) or half-soles
Tap: tan tap shoes (any style)
Hip Hop: black hip hop sneakers or tennis shoes
Limitless Friends: comfy tennis shoes (any style)
