Iris Tetsch

Instructor / Performance Team Co-Director

Iris Tetsch discovered her love of dancing at a very young age taking hip hop classes from her mother in a small village outside of Munich, Germany. After moving to the states, she became a part of a Greenville dance company performing in styles ranging from ballet and lyrical to hip hop and jazz. During this time she also honed her performance skills in circus arts as well, performing primarily contortion and aerial silks acts for Riley’s Believe it or Not and several other venues. After high school, Iris pursued her degree at Anderson University and graduated with a BA in Dance, where her primary focus was hip hop choreography and teaching. She is passionate about bringing her love of dance to the children in her community so that they can learn and grow in a positive environment, hone their skills and have fun!

Tap

A percussive style of dance which gets its name from the sound made when the metal plates on the dancer’s shoes contact the floor. Emphasis on rhythm and clarity of sounds from the feet.

Ballet

A class which progresses from beginning ballet steps to advanced technique and placement. Each class will begin at the barre, then move to center floor work and across the floor. Ballet is the building block of all other forms of dance and necessary to excel in all other forms. For this reason, we strongly encourage all students to take a ballet class.

Ms. Beth is a wonderful, talented, and loving teacher! She brings out the passion and enthusiasm from a student. My daughter LOVES her and ENJOYS the dance lessons so much. We were amazed by their hard work and beautiful performance at her showcase/recital. What a great place to be!

Monday nights became a favorite in our house as both of my girls anxiously awaited dance night. This was HUGE as we just moved to the Greenville area and were joining a new studio. Mrs. Beth and the staff made us feel welcomed and at home. The girls were challenged in a supportive manner. The studio has an easy-going, friendly and accepting environment.

My four year old daughter asks everyday I pick her up from school can she go to dance class. She loves it!! The teachers are so engaged and love what they do. And Ms. Beth is a great example!!

We have been so thankful to have Beth as our daughter’s teacher. She spends time with her students and truly cares about each one. We’ve seen our daughter grow stronger and more confident throughout the year, and it was a joy to see her conquer her fears and dance her heart out at her recital performance!

Jerri D.

I’m so grateful to have found this gem of a place for my daughter. She learned so much, had fun every single week, and loved her teacher and the other kids in her class. She was so very proud of herself for how hard she worked, and she really grew as a dancer. Plus, the end of year Spring Showcase was so much fun for all of us! The culture of this studio is such a positive, loving, uplifting environment.
